Ubisoft's crossover between the popular Mario and Rabbids franchises has proven to be a perfect blend of cuteness and strategic gameplay since its first title, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, hit shelves in 2017. Ubisoft reported that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope underperformed in sales, despite its positive reception by the gaming audience. The Rayman DLC also sets a high bar of expectations for the other expansions to live up to. The third DLC installment brings a familiar face to Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, with Rayman set to headline the content pack and introduce a generation of players to the franchise where the Rabbids first originated. Ubisoft has amply prepared for the post-launch era of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, following a roadmap of three DLC parts slated for release at loosely-defined periods of early, mid, and late 2023. As the world of gaming evolves, developers often have to generate a consistent stream of new content to keep fans interested in releases months after launch.
